About Fike: Fike Corporation is a rapidly growing, international manufacturer of pressure relief, explosion protection, fire suppression, and detection solutions. Privately held and headquartered in Blue Springs, Missouri (USA), Fike employs more than 1,200 people worldwide and is known for its engineering excellence, strong safety culture, and long-term customer partnerships.

To support our growing customer base in UK and Europe, we are now looking for a Field Service Technician to join our European service team.

The Role: As a Field Service Technician, you will work directly at customer sites, carrying out installation support, commissioning, inspection, maintenance, and repair of Fike’s explosion protection and safety systems. This role suits a practical, electrically skilled technician who enjoys working independently, travelling frequently, and solving technical problems on-site. You will mainly work across UK, with occasional assignments in other EU countries. When not travelling, administrative tasks and reporting are performed from your home office.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Commissioning, inspection, preventive maintenance, and repair of explosion venting, suppression, and isolation systems
  • Electrical installation checks, testing, and fault-finding on control panels, sensors, cabling, and safety devices
  • Troubleshoot system issues and implement corrective actions
  • Perform site inspections and ensure systems meet safety and regulatory requirements
  • Provide professional on-site support and clear technical explanations to customers
  • Complete service reports, checklists, and documentation accurately and on time
  • Plan and manage your own daily work and travel activities
  • Participate in an emergency call-out rota in line with Danish working time regulations
  • Follow Fike SHEQ policies and all relevant safety procedures
  • Support colleagues in other European regions when required

What We’re Looking For:

  • Strong electrical background (industrial electrical work, fault-finding, testing)
  • Technical experience as a service technician, electrician, automation technician, or similar
  • Basic mechanical/electronic understanding and willingness to work hands-on with equipment
  • Ability to read electrical diagrams and technical documentation
  • Comfortable working independently at industrial customer sites
  • Safety-focused, structured, and reliable working style
  • Willingness to travel extensively (approx. 80–90%)
  • Good communication skills and customer-oriented mindset
  • Valid EU driving license
  • You are located in the Northern part of UK (Ideally between Hartlepool and Manchester)

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Technical education in electrical installation, automation, industrial technology, or similar is preferred.
  • Experience in field service, industrial maintenance, or electrical service work is an advantage
  • Candidates with strong practical electrical skills but different technical backgrounds are welcome
  • Comfortable using standard IT tools (Windows, email, basic reporting tools)
  • English working proficiency (spoken and written).

What We Offer:

  • Competitive salary and extra benefits
  • Full training on Fike systems and ongoing technical development
  • High level of independence and trust in your daily work
  • Stable, long-term employment with a financially strong global company
  • Supportive European service team and strong safety culture
  • Equal opportunity employer — we encourage all qualified candidates to apply

If you are a hands-on electrical technician who enjoys travel, independence, and working with safety-critical systems, we would be happy to hear from you. Apply now and join Fike’s Field Service team in UK.
