Role Description
The Chef at Figment Coffee will be responsible for planning, preparing, and presenting high-quality food that complements the company’s specialty coffee offerings.
Day-to-day tasks include developing seasonal menus, executing dishes consistently during service, managing kitchen operations, and maintaining high standards of food safety and hygiene.
The role involves coordinating with the front-of-house team to ensure smooth service, monitoring inventory and ordering ingredients, and minimizing waste.
The Chef will also contribute to new food concepts that highlight ethically sourced ingredients and align with Figment Coffee’s brand.
This is a full-time, on-site role based in Aberdeen.
Qualifications
- Strong culinary skills with proven experience as a Chef or Cook in a café, restaurant, or similar environment.
- Knowledge of menu development, recipe creation, and plating techniques focused on quality and consistency.
- Solid understanding of food safety standards, kitchen hygiene, and compliance with local health regulations.
- Ability to manage kitchen operations, including stock control, ordering, and cost awareness.
