Figma is seeking an experienced Employment Counsel (EMEA) to serve as the primary legal advisor for its international workforce. This role involves partnering with People and business leaders to manage strategic employment matters, compliance, and international scaling initiatives across the EMEA region.
Key Eligibility Criteria
- Experience: 8+ years PQE, with a background in both top-tier law firms and in-house legal departments.
- Expertise: Significant experience in EMEA employment law, including employee relations, investigations, works councils, restructurings, and redundancies.
- Skills: Proven ability to build scalable policies and influence senior stakeholders.
Responsibilities & Scope of Work
- Act as the primary employment legal advisor for EMEA.
- Draft and manage employment and benefits-related documentation.
- Advise on complex employee relations, disciplinary matters, and investigations.
- Develop scalable employment policies, playbooks, and self-serve tools.
- Manage employment-related litigation and coordinate with external counsel.
- Support international expansion and workforce scaling.
