Location: Home-based in the North of England region (with regular regional travel and occasional national travel).

About Fighting With Pride

Fighting With Pride is the Armed Forces LGBTQ+ charity, supporting and representing LGBTQ+ Veterans, serving personnel and their families. We provide trauma-informed support to Veterans affected by the ban on LGBTQ+ service (1967–2000) and work nationally to build inclusive Armed Forces services.

The Opportunity

For this exciting new role, we are seeking a proactive, values-driven, creative and inspiring Income Generation Manager to lead the development and delivery of an income generation strategy for Fighting With Pride. This will enable sustainable growth and development so our mission and long-term ambitions can be achieved. In a small charity, this is a hands-on, strategic role responsible for diversifying income streams, managing fundraising and driving financial stability. You will be working closely with the Chief Executive and Board of Trustees.

Your Responsibilities

  • Income Generation Strategy and Planning to meet or exceed financial targets.
  • Fundraising and Donor Management to cultivate and steward relationships.
  • Reporting and Analysis to ensure awareness of progress, risks and new opportunities.
  • Communication, delivering our key message and cases.
  • Compliance and Governance in line with legislation and best practice.
  • Collaboration with the FWP team and representing the charity externally.

About You

You will be a proven self-starter, driven and motivated to lead income generation for the charity. You will be inspiring, persuasive, determined and collaborative. You will have experience of developing and delivering a successful fundraising strategy and a strong understanding of the challenges faced by LGBTQ+ Veterans (or the ability to demonstrate closely relevant experience). You will have the ability to communicate effectively both internally and externally, an understanding of relevant legislation and ethical standards and excellent organisational skills. Finally, you will have the ability to work flexibly as part of a small team and a commitment to Fighting With Pride’s values.
