Fifth Wheel Recruitment are looking for Class 1 Drivers in Glasgow to work with our client, who provide waste management services. Class 1 drivers with Walking floor and Injector trailer experience would be preferable.

Role & Responsibilities:

  • Driving and operating a Class 1 vehicle
  • Walking floor and injector trailer work
  • Collections & deliveries as required
  • Planning routes efficiently to maximise productivity
  • Carrying out daily vehicle checks and defect reporting
  • Working in line with WTD, drivers hours and waste duty of care

All applicants are expected to complete work to a high standard while following safety procedures.

About you:

  • You will have your Class 1 Driving Licence and at least 6 months experience driving commercially.
  • Previous experience driving and operating a tipper is essential.
  • You must also have your UK DCPC card and a valid Digi-tacho card.
  • Our client may accept up to 6 points on your licence, but we cannot accept DD, TT, DR, CD, IN endorsements.
  • As a professional Driver, you will be up to date with the WTD regulations.
  • You will be a UK resident and will be able to travel to and from the site for your shift.
  • We are unable to assist with VISA applications and cannot assist with relocation.
