The predicted salary is between 36800 - 41100 £ per year.

Location: Castleford

Pay Rate: £17.69 to £19.79 p/h (£17.69 plus £2.10 holiday pay up front if requested £19.79 p/h)

Working Hours: Monday to Friday (07:00 - 16:00). A flexible and positive attitude to working times in line with business requirements is essential.

Fifth Wheel Recruitment are looking for a Plant Manager / Supervisor in Castleford to work with our client, who manufactures and distributes cement, ready-mix concrete and aggregates.

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Responsibility for your own Health and Safety and any visitors or contractors to site
  • Responsibility for the accurate production of Mortar, Readymix products
  • Ensuring timely delivery of raw materials
  • Completing weekly and monthly stock checks
  • Controlling drivers, visitors, collect, and cash customers coming onto site, projecting a professional image and ensuring that site rules are always complied with
  • Reporting defects through check proof and carrying out site inspections
  • Working with management and contractors to control and organise plant maintenance as required
  • General housekeeping and site improvements
  • Enforcing environmental policies and procedures (14001) and keeping records up to date
  • Updating and monitoring records within the PACS system

About you:

To be considered for this role, you will need to have a full UK Driving licence. Previous experience in a similar role and working in the cement industry would be preferable, with a basic understanding of batching systems. You will be a UK resident and will be able to travel to and from the site for your shift. We are unable to assist with VISA applications and cannot assist with relocation.
