Fifth Wheel Recruitment are looking for Class 1 Drivers in Carlisle to work with our client, who are a well-established distribution and logistics company based in the North West. We have ongoing trunking positions available offering year-round work, fixed start times and regular routes. Drivers will alternate between a longer and shorter run throughout the week.

Routes include:

  • Carlisle - Nuneaton - Carlisle
  • Carlisle - Haydock - Carlisle

Employee Benefits:

  • Competitive Salary: £16.40 to £19.00 per hour
  • £16.96 per hour + £2.04 holiday pay = £19.00 per hour total

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Driving and operating a Class 1 vehicle
  • Completing trunking runs between distribution centres
  • Carrying out daily vehicle checks
  • Completing transport paperwork
  • Complying with driver hours and working time regulations

All applicants are expected to complete work to a high standard while following site safety procedures.

About you:

You will have your Class 1 Driving Licence and at least 6 months experience driving commercially. You must also have your UK DCPC card and a valid Digi-tacho card. Our client may accept up to 6 points on your licence, but we cannot accept DD, TT, DR, CD, IN endorsements. As a professional Driver, you will be up to date with the WTD regulations. You will be a UK resident and will be able to travel to and from the site for your shift. We are unable to assist with VISA applications and cannot assist with relocation.
