Role Overview
Transport Planner responsible for planning multi-drop routes, allocating drivers, coordinating schedules, communicating with drivers and customers, monitoring performance, and ensuring compliance with legislation and company policies.
Responsibilities
- Plan efficient multi-drop delivery routes to maximise productivity and customer satisfaction.
- Allocate drivers to daily delivery schedules, ensuring optimal use of resources.
- Coordinate and manage daily transport planning to meet operational deadlines.
- Communicate with drivers, customers and internal teams to provide updates and resolve transport queries.
- Monitor route performance and identify opportunities to improve efficiency and service levels.
- Ensure all transport operations comply with relevant legislation, company policies and industry standards.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 12-24 months experience in a similar, fast-paced role.
- Good understanding of Drivers' Hours and Working Time Directive regulations.
- UK resident able to travel to and from the site independently (visa sponsorship and relocation support not offered).
