We're currently seeking an Acquisitions Assistant to join our Distribution team. Your role will be key in tracking all acquisitions submissions, liaising with internal teams and third party producer partners, and providing crucial administrative support for the Executive Director of Acquisitions. Role Responsibilities:
Acquisitions Workflow Management:
- Track the full workflow of acquisitions submissions from both 3rd party sources and internal departments where required
- Ensure the Acquisitions Tracker and Master Content Tracker are always up to date
- Liaise with all internal departments to make sure requests are processed in a timely manner and the Acquisitions team is aware of any issues that may arise – including but not limited to Materials Delivery, Finance, Sales, Marketing, Rights and Legal
Executive Support and Administrative Tasks:
- Provide full PA diary, travel, and expenses support to the Executive Director; with occasional administrative support for other members of the Acquisitions team
- Manage Executive Director schedule for markets and festivals
- Attend weekly team meetings and provide minutes to be shared cross-departmentally
- Attend producer meetings with Executive Director where appropriate and take detailed notes and follow-ups
Industry Research and Content Review:
- Read scripts and provide coverage
- Create presentation decks
- Research to identify new market and distribution trends
- Contribute to ad-hoc projects as needed
Essential Skills & Experience:
- 12 months or equivalent experience in an acquisitions or distribution environment in a client-facing role.
- Superior organizational, communication, and analytical skills, as well as exceptional attention to detail; with proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Keynote.
- Ability to track and manage large amounts of data required in the acquisitions and sales processes.
- Experience generating acquisitions leads and managing client follow-up through excellent written and oral communications.
- Ability to manage workflows and diary scheduling across multiple time zones.
- Ability to develop and maintain both internal and external relationships, comfortable working with high-level senior managers.
- Knowledge of an additional language is desirable.
- Must be familiar with the global TV landscape and able to keep up to date with industry trends.
- Collaborative and flexible team player with a professional demeanor and diplomatic skills.
- A can-do attitude and an ambition to progress career within the international TV and content industry.
- A genuine passion and respect for entertainment content, especially TV and film.
