A week in the life of our Finance Manager:
- Monday: You're reviewing last week's ARR movement. A new logo closed Friday - you update the weekly management report, recalculate pipeline coverage, and send the snapshot to the leadership team first thing.
- Tuesday: Deep in the revenue model. You're working backwards from our 2026 target: how many AEs do we need, what quota should they carry, what ACV assumptions hold at different close rates? You flag two scenarios to the FD before EOD.
- Wednesday: In the office on Oxford Street. Back‑to‑back with the RevOps team to align on HubSpot pipeline definitions - you're building the underlying data structure that makes our FP&A meaningful, not just pretty.
- Thursday: Monthly close is coming. You're reviewing the management accounts pack from our outsourced accountants, reconciling actuals to budget, and feeding updated actuals into the FP&A layer - flagging variances to the FD before the leadership review.
- Friday: Unit economics. You're stress‑testing LTV:CAC ratios across our customer cohorts and drafting a short brief for the FD ahead of next week's board prep.
This is finance at Fifth Dimension. You're not a passenger - you're building the function from the ground up.
What you'll do:
- Own our weekly management reporting: ARR, pipeline coverage, forecasts - built interactively and delivered to the leadership team.
- Build and maintain monthly management reporting: GRR, NRR, CAC, LTV:CAC, burn multiple, gross margin vs. assumption - with full P&L line items across sales & marketing, R&D, and G&A.
- Build our revenue model: working back from annual targets to AE headcount requirements, quota levels, ACV attainment, marketing channel investment, and stage‑weighted pipeline.
- Maintain cap table, options register, and company secretarial tasks - working with our outsourced providers but owning the internal layer.
- Act as the financial interface to RevOps - partnering closely on HubSpot data integrity, pipeline definitions, and revenue operations to ensure FP&A is built on solid ground.
- Support fundraising and board prep when needed - building the narrative and the numbers.
What we’re looking for:
- You’ve done FP&A in a VC‑backed, high‑growth B2B SaaS business – or you've been close enough to it that you know exactly what good looks like and how to get there.
- You're a generalist who can context‑switch between controllership and commercial analysis without missing a beat.
- You make confident decisions when data is incomplete, and you're always asking "what's the MVP to get us to Series B?"
- You bring:
- Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent).
- 3–6 years' post‑qualification experience, ideally including time in a high‑growth B2B SaaS environment.
- Strong FP&A foundations: revenue modelling, unit economics, scenario planning, management reporting.
- Genuine AI literacy – you use Claude or equivalent tools heavily in your workflow; building a model without them would feel like leaving performance on the table.
- Generalist mindset: equally comfortable running a cap table audit, building a quota model, and presenting to the CEO in the same week.
- Comfort operating with incomplete data and an instinct for pragmatic, high‑quality outputs over perfect ones.
- A growth mindset – you want to be Head of Finance or Head of FP&A in a few years, and you're going to push yourself to get there.
Bonus points if you have:
- Experience in proptech, real estate, or adjacent financial services.
- Exposure to multi‑entity structures (UK parent, US / Singapore subsidiaries).
- Hands‑on experience with HubSpot or similar CRM from a RevOps/FP&A angle.
- Previous experience supporting a fundraise or investor reporting.
What we offer:
- £80–110k salary per annum + bonus + meaningful equity (on a standard vesting schedule).
- Enhanced pension contributions (5%).
- Unlimited annual leave.
- £100 monthly wellbeing budget.
- £1,000 annual training budget.
- Electric car scheme (salary sacrifice).
- Tailored support for exceptional challenges, which may include contributions to:
- Gender‑affirming care.
- Private specialists and diagnostic scans.
- ADHD / Autism diagnosis.
- IVF / fertility care.
- Therapy.
- 14 weeks full pay for primary caregiver (followed by statutory pay).
- 6 weeks full pay for secondary caregiver.
Location: London; Remote status: Hybrid.
