This is a chance to step into a high-impact finance role within a growing, well-backed financial services business. You won't be buried in bureaucracy or boxed into a narrow remit; this role is about ownership, influence, and being close to the decision-making.
If you're the kind of accountant who wants to understand the business behind the numbers (not just report them), you'll enjoy this. This is a 100% office-based role. If you value being embedded in the business, having real visibility, and building strong working relationships face-to-face, this will suit you perfectly.
What You'll Be Doing:
- Owning the monthly management accounts end-to-end
- Producing insightful P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow reporting
- Leading budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
- Strengthening financial controls and improving processes as the business scales
- Working closely with senior stakeholders to support commercial decision-making
- Managing cash flow and providing forward-looking financial insight
- Supporting year-end accounts and working with external accountants/auditors
- Getting involved in ad-hoc projects that actually matter
What We're Looking For:
- Qualified or part-qualified accountant (ACCA / CIMA / ACA) or equivalent experience
- Solid management accounting experience - you know your stuff
- Comfortable working autonomously and taking responsibility
- Strong Excel skills (non-negotiable)
- Commercial mindset with strong attention to detail
- Experience in financial services, investment management, or a regulated environment is a plus
- Confident communicator who can work with senior, non-finance stakeholders
Why This Role Stands Out:
- Genuine ownership - this is not a narrow or transactional role
- Direct exposure to senior leadership
- Stable, growing business with clear direction
- Office-based environment with real collaboration (not endless Zoom calls)
- Competitive salary for the right person (£50k-£60k)
Bottom Line:
This role is ideal for someone who wants responsibility, visibility, and impact, not just another finance job with a fancy title and no substance.
