To provide efficient and effective caretaking support relating to the operation of Fife Sports and Leisure Trust (FSLT) operated facilities and grounds ensuring minimal disruption to the daily operation. Although based at one principal location and responsible to the Safety and Facilities Manager, the post holder will be required to undertake duties at other facilities within his or her cluster and support other clusters as needed. In the absence of the Safety and Facilities Manager, temporary management will be provided by the Safety and Facilities Support Coordinator or the Operations Manager. The post holder will be expected to be able to work as part of a team or independently in a safe and responsible manner using their initiative to respond to problems.

Requirements

  • SVQ Level 2 Health and Safety at work awareness
  • A good general level of education including satisfactory literacy and numeracy skills
  • UK Full Driving Licence
  • Before confirming appointment you will be required to obtain Basic Disclosure from Disclosure Scotland

Responsibilities

  • Operation and routine maintenance of Pool Filtration Plant at various sites.
  • Routine maintenance of other treatment systems including Bore Wells and Heating system water treatment systems.
  • Cleaning of plant areas.
  • Routine maintenance of lighting systems to include changing bulbs, replacing damaged covers etc.
  • Routine repair and minor maintenance of fixtures and fittings to include:
    • Repairing Sauna Cabin timbers
    • Other general carpentry works e.g. fitting shelves, notice boards, other small jobs limited in trade complexity
    • Painting
    • Basic pool cover repairs including reprogramming fobs
    • Repairing locker keys and cubicles
    • Portable Appliance Testing (PAT)
    • Spin bike maintenance
    • PIPA testing inflatables
    • Sports Hall Maintenance (curtain repairs, replacement, mounting goals etc.)
