The Role

We are looking for three people to join our theatre team as Crew on a temporary basis for our annual pantomime at Adam Smith Theatre. Our theatre crew operates behind the scenes, seamlessly bringing together all the elements needed to deliver a magical festive production.

You’ll be responsible for setting up the stage, managing props and costumes, and supporting the technical aspects of the show, including lighting, sound, and AV equipment. You’ll also assist with scene changes and backstage operations to ensure each performance runs smoothly from start to finish.

This is a practical, hands-on role where you’ll work as part of a close-knit team to create an unforgettable panto experience for our audiences. Flexibility is essential, as the role involves evening and weekend work.

You can view the full job spec on our current vacancies page on our website.

About You

  • You’ll be someone who enjoys practical, hands-on work and takes pride in delivering excellent technical support.
  • Ideally, you’ll bring experience of working within a theatre environment with staging, sound, lighting, AV, or other event-related equipment, but most importantly you’ll have a flexible attitude, a willingness to learn, and a strong team spirit.
  • You’ll be safety-conscious, reliable, and ready to turn your hand to a variety of tasks.
  • A good level of fitness is required as the role involves manual handling.
  • There are three full-time, temporary positions and you must be available between 10 November 2025 – 4 January 2026.
  • If you’re enthusiastic, adaptable, and eager to support Fife’s vibrant cultural programme, we’d love to hear from you.
