The Network Condition Technician's role is to provide maintenance, design services, and general administration related to roads in accordance with the Council's standards, policies, and legislation. The role aims to ensure that roads, footways, cycle routes, and footpaths are maintained to a safe standard for network users.

Responsibilities include:

  • Investigating and responding to internal and external enquiries, customer complaints, and correspondence regarding service delivery.
  • Liaising with other teams, suppliers, and external/internal parties as necessary.
  • Producing reports and documentation related to Third Party Claims and Freedom of Information requests.

We offer a progressive, blended working environment with options for home-working and occasional office attendance in Fife. Candidates should be able to travel to and attend office locations as needed.

The Person

You should be educated to SCQF level 5, including National 5, SVQ level 2, or Standard Grades at credit level, with Maths and English at level 3 or above, or equivalent.

You should have experience or qualities such as:

  • Experience dealing with the public
  • Relevant roads experience in Local Government
  • Familiarity with civil engineering and roads maintenance documentation
  • Ability to travel around Fife at short notice
