Do you have a catering qualification such as City & Guilds or 706/1, an SVQ or equivalent and supervisory experience?

Key Responsibilities

  • Day‑to‑day supervision of Driver/Handler staff, including required training.
  • Conducting or arranging for others to conduct prescribed temperature checks.
  • Selecting and regenerating meals in accordance with the approved monthly menu cycle.
  • Regular stocktaking including end‑of‑month financial procedures.
  • Undertaking clerical duties – stock records, temperature check reports, daily adjustment of delivery requirements, accurate return of staff working hours, holidays, sickness, meal/payment voucher reconciliation, inputting and updating information to the computer system and accessing computer reports.

Pay & Working Hours

You will earn an hourly rate of £15.01, with additional payments for shift work and weekends. Pay is made every 4 weeks.

Job Details (Location & Hours)

Meals on Wheels Kirkcaldy – Casual Supervisor working as and when required, normally between 8:00 am and 2:00 pm. Enhancements are paid for weekend working.

Requirements

  • Full driving licence.
  • Ability to provide a regular and effective service, working alone or as part of a team.
  • Protection of Vulnerable Groups (PVG) scheme membership via Disclosure Scotland and relevant PVG scheme membership.
  • Attend an induction training day before starting in post.
