We want to improve the quality of life for people across Fife and we work with many different organisations, including tenants' groups, to try to make that happen.

As a Housing Management Officer, you will form part of an Area Housing Team that delivers on improved services. You will be responsible for a specific neighbourhood, ensuring high quality, well-run estates through the assessment of need of individuals, properties and neighbourhoods, followed by the development of solutions which range from prescribed processes to self-developed initiatives. You will deliver high quality landlord services to build stable communities by sustaining tenancies and engaging with customers and partners to make required improvements. You will be able to provide high standards of Customer Care while encouraging local people to maintain Estate Standards.

The Person

If you meet the essential qualification criteria outlined below, we’d like to hear from you:

  • We are looking for an individual who has knowledge of the Scottish Secure and Short Scottish Secure Tenancies and who has experience of working with a range of supports available to tenants.
  • You will have experience of partnership working when managing tenancies.
  • You will be committed to assisting tenants to sustain their tenancy, while also taking action against any breaches of tenancy.
  • You will need good time management, communications and organisational skills.
  • You will also possess IT skills.
  • You will be educated to SCQF level 5 or equivalent and you will require (if you do not already hold this) to undertake the Homepoint 2 qualification.
  • Basic PVG Disclosure will be sought for successful applicants.
  • Before confirming your appointment, you will be required to obtain Protection of Vulnerable Groups (PVG) scheme membership through Disclosure Scotland and become a member of the relevant PVG scheme.
