Based in the Dunfermline Area, working various hours per week (4 days on 4 days off rotation), on a permanent, part-time basis, with a salary grade of £23,633.23 - £25,829.49 pro-rata. An exciting opportunity has arisen for caring, compassionate and enthusiastic individuals to join our care at home teams in the Fife Health and Social Care Partnership Localities.

You will be a people person who is passionate about supporting our service users to maximise their independence, to remain living in their own homes. - Enhancements for unsocial hours, including weekends and public holidays.
- A vehicle may be provided, but where you are required to use your own vehicle, travel expenses will be paid - we pay 45 per mile to staff using their own car.

The Person:
- Caring, compassionate and motivated with good values and a genuine interest in providing quality care and support to service users.
- Ability to build effective working relationships with service users and their families.
- Ability to work with other Council services and partner agencies to support the effective planning and delivery of care and support within our service.
- Knowledge and understanding of the Health and Social Care Standards and be able to put these into practice.
- Hold or be able to work towards SVQ 2 as required by Scottish Social Services Council within the time frames set at point of registration.
You are required to register with Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC) within 6 months of taking up employment in this role and to complete the required Post Registration Training and Learning (PRTL) over the first registration period. It is the person’s responsibility to notify the SSSC of any changes to personal or work details timeously.
Before confirming your appointment, you will be required to obtain Protection of Vulnerable Groups (PVG) scheme membership through Disclosure Scotland and become a member of the relevant PVG scheme. As this role requires SSSC registration, the successful applicant will have three months to apply for registration. If appointed, you must submit your application within 3 months so you're registered within the required six months.
