We currently have a temporary vacancy covering as required on a backshift Monday to Friday only.

  • Location: Sunflowers Nursery Annex
  • Hours: 10 hours per week
  • Contract: 52 week contract (5:00pm - 7:00pm)
  • This post is temporary for 1 year.

You will earn a competitive salary of £23,873.40 pro-rata and have access to a range of benefits, including:

  • Scottish Local Government Living Wage of £12.67 per hour for this post, plus extra payments for shift work, including weekends.
  • Pay is annualised for 40 week contracts (equal instalments every 4 week pay period).
  • Access to and support with training opportunities and qualifications for the job.
  • Membership of Fife Pension Fund which is part of the Scottish Local Government Pension Scheme (LGPS Scotland).

This work is about ensuring pupils and staff can return to a clean and safe environment every school day. You will go home each day knowing you have made a difference. No previous experience is required as on the job training is given, working towards The Cleaning Operatives Proficiency Certificate.

You will be required to attend a full day's Induction Training before starting in post. Before confirming your appointment, you will be required to obtain Protection of Vulnerable Groups (PVG) scheme membership through Disclosure Scotland and become a member of the relevant PVG scheme.
