Responsibilities
- Cleaner – 10 hours per week 40 week contract (Monday & Tuesday 3:45pm start, Wednesday, Thursday & Friday 3:00pm start).
- This work is about ensuring pupils and staff can return to a clean and safe environment every school day. You will go home each day knowing you have made a difference.
Salary and Benefits
- Salary: £24,740.74 pro-rata for 10 hours per week on a 40 week contract.
- We pay the Scottish Local Government Living Wage of £13.18 per hour for this post, plus extra payments for shift work, including weekends.
- Pay is annualised for 40 week contracts (equal instalments every 4 week pay period).
- Travel expenses will be paid – we pay 45 pence per mile to staff using their own car.

Qualifications
- No previous experience is required as on the job training is given, working towards The Cleaning Operatives Proficiency Certificate.
- You will be required to attend an induction training day before starting in post.
- Before confirming to your appointment, you will be required to obtain Protection of Vulnerable Groups (PVG) scheme membership through Disclosure Scotland and become a member of the relevant PVG scheme.
