Contract and Hours

We have a vacancy to join our team on a permanent part time 52-week contract, working 15 hours per week, Monday to Friday as required.

Salary and Benefits

  • You will earn a competitive salary of £24,740.74 pro-rata and have access to a range of benefits, including:
  • £13.18 per hour to start, plus extra payments for shift work, including weekends.
  • Pay is every 4 weeks.

Responsibilities

This work is about providing customer service, ensuring pupils and staff receive hot or cold meals every school day. You will go home each day knowing you have made a difference whether its Breakfast Club, Morning Break or Lunch you have served. On the job training is given working towards a Food Hygiene Certificate.

The Person / Qualifications

  • Driver’s licence required for Council Vehicle provided for post.
  • Before confirming your appointment, you will be required to obtain Protection of Vulnerable Groups (PVG) scheme membership through Disclosure Scotland and become a member of the relevant PVG scheme.
  • Ability to provide a regular and effective service, working alone or as part of a team.
  • You will be required to attend an Induction Training Day before starting in post.
  • Catering Experience or a Qualification such as an SVQ, City & Guilds, or equivalent is required.
