Assistant Cook 30 Hours

Responsibilities

• Preparation of food and beverages and organisation of the service of food.
• Baking, cooking, serving meals, loading hot trollies and delivering them to and from the unit’s general kitchen and dining room duties.
• Washing up, clearing away equipment, completion of daybook record, stock taking.

Essential Skills / Qualifications

• City and Guilds 706 1 or 2 or equivalent.
• Understanding dietary and nutritional needs.
• Cooking experience in a relevant environment (commercial kitchen).
• Elementary food Hygiene certificate.
• IT and literacy skills; organisational skills; able to work on your own or as part of a team; able to use own initiative.

Details

• Based at: Ostlers care home, 9 Wellinton Cres KY26GH.
• Work pattern: Rota 5 over 7.
• Hours per week: 30 hours + weekend enhancements.
• Pay: £13.18 an hour.
