The Lecturer – Automotive role is a 33.5 hour, on-site position based in Glenrothes, focused on delivering high-quality teaching and learning in automotive subjects. The lecturer will plan, prepare, and deliver engaging lessons, practical workshops, and assessments that align with curriculum requirements and industry standards. Daily responsibilities include supporting student progress, providing constructive feedback, maintaining accurate records of achievement, and contributing to course development and continuous improvement. The role involves collaborating with colleagues and industry partners to ensure learning materials reflect current automotive technologies and practices. The lecturer will also participate in quality assurance activities, engage in professional development, and support wider College initiatives that enhance the student experience.
Qualifications
- Qualified to HND/Degree (SCQF 8/9) or SVQ Level 4/5 in the relevant vocational area or Highest-level qualification in the relevant discipline
- Relevant current academic experience
- Demonstrable experience and practiced skills following a vocational qualification
- Driving License as Travel will be required within Fife
- Teaching Qualification in Further Education (TQFE)
- Broad demonstrable experience of curriculum delivery
- Proven record of evaluative ability, to recognise areas for improvement and plan for excellence
