Fife Coast and Countryside Trust (FCCT) are seeking a Nature Nurture Delivery Specialist to join our dynamic and effective Conservation and Engagement team.
Location: The Pitcairn Centre, Moidart Drive, Glenrothes, KY7 6ET
Salary: £29,170.80 to £31,761.26
Hours: Part-time, 14.4 hours per week (including regular evening/weekend work)
Contract Type: Fixed Term till 31st March 2029

About the role:
The Nature Nurture Delivery Specialist leads the direct delivery of the Nature Nurture programme, facilitating safe, inclusive and nurturing outdoor sessions for children in P1-4 and their parents or carers. The role focuses on creating emotionally safe spaces in nature where families can build connection, confidence and emotional literacy through shared experiences. The Delivery Specialist has primary responsibility for session planning, facilitation, health and safety and dynamic risk assessment in outdoor environments. Working closely with the Programme Coordinator, the postholder contributes to reflective practice, session monitoring and the continuous development of the programme model.
About you:
- You are a confident, warm and emotionally attuned practitioner who enjoys working directly with children and families in outdoor settings.
- You bring strong facilitation skills, sound judgement around safety and risk, and a nurturing, strengths based approach to practice.
- Essential criteria includes:
- Relevant qualification or substantial experience in outdoor learning, wellbeing, youth or family work
- Experience of work within the Third Sector
- Training in trauma informed or nurturing approaches, or willingness to learn quickly
- Working Knowledge of mental health challenges
- Knowledge of children's emotional wellbeing and family support
- Social inclusion policies and agenda
- Planning & delivery of monitoring and evaluation
- Understanding of emotional regulation and nurturing practice
- Experience working in a school / education setting and referral based services.
- Confident outdoor practitioner with experience managing groups in outdoor environments.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and manage competing requirements
- Excellent communication and relationship building skills
- Confident handling sensitive data and safeguarding matters
- Values driven, calm and emotionally literate, experience working with vulnerable or anxious families
- Ability to work within a team as well as on own initiative, Excellent team player, able to put shared goals before self.
- Direct delivery experience working with children, families, and disadvantaged or vulnerable groups.
- Diplomatic, flexible and empathetic to other views whilst able to get own opinions across.
- Able to prioritise and manage competing requirements.
- Strong risk awareness and judgement

- Access to a car
- Post holder will be required to travel extensively across Fife.
