This role may require a DBS check. This role is for a dedicated and enthusiastic individual who will utilise their passion for arts to foster community cohesion and reduce loneliness and social isolation. As a volunteer community arts tutor, you will engage individuals from diverse backgrounds and age groups in creative projects, creating a supportive and welcoming environment.
What will you be doing?
- Design and deliver engaging arts workshops and activities for individuals and groups, catering to different skill levels and interests.
- Plan and prepare for sessions by sourcing materials and ensuring the space is set up to facilitate creative activities.
- Encourage active participation and foster a sense of belonging among participants, helping them connect with each other through art and shared creative experiences.
- Help us to promote workshops and activities within the community to reach a wide range of individuals who might benefit from arts engagement.
- Offer guidance and support to participants as they develop their artistic skills and explore their creativity.
- Maintain a positive and supportive environment for all participants, fostering a sense of community and connection.
- Handle materials and the space responsibly, ensuring materials are tidied away and the space is left clean and tidy at the end of each session.
