Registered Manager required for a Children's Home in Darlaston, Walsall. We are searching for a Registered Manager for our Ofsted regulated 4 bed home currently at 50% occupancy, supporting and educating children with emotional and behavioural difficulties. This SEMH home, based on PACE and therapeutic parenting, is currently rated 'Requires Improvement' with OFSTED.
You must be experienced and have a strong personality, as this home requires a complete turnaround. A very competitive salary is offered, around £50-£60k negotiable plus up to 20% bonus. We’re keen to reward our managers when they get things right because doing well is important to us. Our Management Bonus Scheme takes into consideration a range of KPIs from inspections, audits, staffing, finances, training, annual leave, sickness, and more. Meeting targets in all these areas will result in a performance bonus; the better you do, the bigger your bonus.
Registered Manager Skills and Abilities:
- Able to work within the principles of the Children’s Act.
- Demonstrate a sound working knowledge of Child Protection Issues and Procedures.
- Sound knowledge of Children’s Homes procedures and relevant issues.
- Registered Manager knowledge and experience.
- At least 2 years working experience as a Registered Manager or Deputy Manager in a Registered Children’s Home where the rating of their home is good to outstanding.
- A minimum of two years’ experience at senior level in a Children’s Home.
- Experience working with children who have Mental Health, Emotional & Behavioural difficulties.
- Have a very good understanding of the children’s homes regulations and quality standards, 2015.
- Have good knowledge and experience working as a designated safeguarding lead in children’s residential home(s).
Registered Manager Qualifications:
- The Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or equivalent) and Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care and Children and Young Peoples Services (or you are willing to work towards this).
- Or NVQ Level 4 Health and Social Care (Children’s Pathway) combined with a Leadership and Management Qualification.
