Senior Support Worker Required for Children’s Home in Colchester Essex CO3. Our Ofsted-registered children’s residential provision in Colchester is looking for an experienced Senior Residential Support Worker to join us.

This role is ideal for someone with proven experience in residential childcare who can confidently lead teams, manage complex and challenging behaviours, and provide consistent, trauma-informed care to the most vulnerable children who have experienced adverse childhoods.

We are located on the edge of Colchester (on a bus route). The home supports 5 to 13 year olds with EBD and challenging behaviours (Ofsted Regulated). We offer a genuine level of support, from access to a dedicated Welfare and Development Officer to approachable, hands-on senior leaders. Our Organisation puts staff wellbeing and growth at the heart of everything it does. The Responsible Individual regularly visits the homes, offers guidance, and remains consistently available — creating a culture where staff feel supported, not isolated.

Senior Support Worker Requirements:
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in children’s residential care (essential)
  • A passion for supporting children and young people
