Residential Senior Support Workers required for Children's Home in Chorley Preston Lancs PR7. We are looking for Senior Support Workers for a new 3 Bed home supporting 8-18s with EBD, SEMH and challenging behaviour, where the emphasis will be high quality of care. There will be tremendous opportunities to grow.
If you have experience supporting vulnerable children, you are qualified and looking for career progression, this exciting new opportunity could be for you. Are you a good communicator, passionate about supporting children 8 to 18 years old with EBD, challenging behaviours and complex care? Do you have Level 3 Diploma Children and Young People?
Senior Support Worker salary: £16 per hour + £65 per sleep (must be qualified and a driver). You will be expected to sleep in after some of your shifts.
Senior Support Worker Duties include:
- Supporting and managing the staff team to meet the needs of the young person
- Planning each shift and ensuring resources are allocated appropriately
- Providing supervision and support to staff in line with Quality Standards
- Supporting the young person to engage in education
- Providing advice, support and guidance
- Contributing to the care planning process
- Attending mandatory training
- Maintaining the home (laundry, cleaning, shopping, cooking, etc.)
Senior Support Worker Requirements:
- Able to work Full time
- A full UK driving license (preferred)
- An understanding that this role will require that you undertake Enhanced DBS checks
- You need to be able to work flexibly in caring for the children. This will include working shifts and sleep-ins with full-time and part-time hours being available.
- Experience working and supporting 6-18 year old with EBD, challenging behaviour and complex care.
- You will have some experience supporting children or young people with EBD.
- Seniors MUST have NVQ level 3 Children Residential plus 2 years Support Work experience (Children's).
