We\’re looking for an experienced Speech and Language Therapist to join our team. You\’ll work closely with a dedicated team of Teachers, Learning Support Workers, and governance professionals.Our College is a very special place. We provide highly personalised pathways for special school leavers, and we support them in the journey to become adults, and to live independent and fulfilling lives as far as possible.Catering for students with neurological motor impairment such as Cerebral Palsy and associated medical and sensory needs. Following the Conductive Education approach, focussing on the holistic development of everyone, including their physical and communication skills.Each student spends 2-3 years following an intensive multi-disciplinary team study programme that supports them as school leavers into busy, productive and fulfilling lives as adults.Hours and salary of Speech and Language Therapist£15,092.48 – £19,252.4820 hours per week Term time onlyJob Responsibilities of Speech and Language TherapistDay to day management of a caseload of students with complex communication needs in order to support their access to the curriculum. This would include assessment, delivery of therapy, provision of recommendations, monitoring and reporting against progress.Contribute to the College intake assessment and transition processes, to ensure effective communication support for students at all stages of their placement.Contribute to the delivery of generic and student-specific communication training.Influence a \’Best Practice\’ culture relating to communication by participating in the process of collaborative differentiation of the curriculum and evaluating the communication environment to identify training needs.Adhere to Professional Standards and Continuing Professional Development requirements including maintaining records in accordance with professional guidelines, maintaining CPD, participation in supervision and appraisal, attendance at regular team and Community of Practice meetings.To work seamlessly across department or team boundaries in a collaborative and constructive manner to implement the organisation\’s strategic direction.To demonstrate a commitment to customer service excellence and deliver against the requirements of the quality framework.To work within the organisation\’s policies and procedures.To undertake such other duties as may be reasonably determined by the PrincipalRequirements of a Speech and Language TherapistDegree in Speech and Language Therapy and HCPC registration.Member of the Royal College of Speech and Language Therapists.Experience working with young people and adults with complex needs, learning disabilities, and Autism Spectrum Conditions.Neurological motor impairment such as Cerebral Palsy and associated medical and sensory needs.Ability to deliver training and consultancy, manage a caseload autonomously, and provide clinical supervision. xbpsjkuKnowledge of best practice, assessment tools, and embedding therapy into learning activities.For more information on this Speech and Language Therapist opportunity Contact Mick Hull Fieldview Care Recruitment Solutions
