Registered Manager - 3-Bed Children’s Home Hatfield, Hertfordshire | AL10
We are looking for an experienced Registered Manager to lead our 3-bed Ofsted-registered Children’s Home in Hatfield.
The home has been registered since 2025 and currently supports one child. It provides a safe, therapeutic and nurturing environment for children with learning disabilities, ADHD and behavioural difficulties
and complex needs.

This is an excellent opportunity for a manager who wants to make a real difference, develop the home and lead the service with autonomy.
The Role of Registered Manager
You will be responsible for:

Leading and developing the staff team.
-
Ensuring high standards of care and safeguarding.
-
Maintaining Ofsted and regulatory compliance.
-
Delivering personalised care and positive outcomes.
-
Promoting confidence, independence and life skills.
-
Working with families, social workers and other professionals.
-
Ensuring compliance with the Children’s Homes Regulations and Quality Standards 2015.
Registered Manager Requirements
We are looking for someone with:
-
18+ months’ experience as a Registered Manager or Deputy Manager in a Children’s Home.

Experience in a Good or Outstanding home.
-
At least 2 years’ senior management/supervisory experience.
-
Experience supporting children with learning disabilities, ADHD and behavioural difficulties and complex care.

Strong safeguarding and child protection knowledge.
-
Experience as a Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL).

Strong leadership, communication and organisational skills.
Registered Manager Qualifications
-
Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare or equivalent.

Level 5 Leadership & Management qualification, or willingness to work towards it.
-
Alternatively, NVQ Level 4 Health & Social Care (Children’s Pathway) with a Leadership & Management qualification.
