Associate - Serious Injury in Westminster

Fieldfisher houses one of the UK\’s leading Personal Injury and Medical Negligence departments. The team is split up into 4 market leading practices; Medical Negligence, Serious Injury, Industrial Disease and Court of Protection. An opportunity has arisen for an ambitious solicitor to work alongside one of our partners specialising in serious injury claims. Solicitors joining the team are encouraged and supported to develop their own professional reputation and technical expertise. From day one, you will work alongside senior lawyers on high‐value and complex matters, gaining direct exposure to significant client work. A strong interest in business development is essential, as you will play an active role in helping to grow and promote the practice.

Responsibilities

Proactively manage own files and support the partners

Preparing thorough documentation required for the preparation of cases to trial

Liaising with counsel/experts

Liaising with clients and handling matters with the appropriate sensitivity

Qualifications

Qualified lawyer with strong relevant UK claimant experience

Experience in and a keen interest in marketing

Ability to build relationships with the client, family, witnesses, counsel and experts

Enthusiastic team player with commitment to quality and client care

Good case management skills

Strong academics

Demonstrated real commitment and empathetic approach to claimants
