We require a Senior Legal Professional to join our highly regarded medical negligence team. This role will be working alongside a highly skilled Partner in London. The team has extensive experience in all varieties of claimant medical negligence, but particularly maximum severity claims including where adults or children have suffered brain injury, cerebral palsy, amputation, loss of vision/blindness, spinal and other neurological injuries. This is an excellent opportunity to learn from a Tier One team's wealth of experience in the clinical negligence field.

Responsibilities

  • Obtaining and reviewing medical records, preparing medical chronologies and organisation of medical records
  • Liaising with clients and handling matters with appropriate sensitivity
  • Witness interviewing and investigation
  • Attending case conferences with counsel and expert witnesses and preparing notes
  • Writing case reports as well as day-to-day correspondence
  • Document control - maintaining accurate records and files
  • Thorough preparation of documentation/cases to trial
  • Evidence gathering research

Key Skills & Experience

  • Strong academics and/or proven relevant medical background
  • Previous experience as a Paralegal/Legal Professional in personal injury or medical negligence would be advantageous
