Join Fieldfisher as a Junior Negotiator! This is a specialised area of legal work where your mindset matters just as much as your technical skills. You will be negotiating directly with counterparties, working closely with clients, and handling live documentation. That means we look for people who are:
- Curious and quick to learn
- Thoughtful and structured in their reasoning
- Calm under pressure and able to prioritise wisely
- Honest about what they know and what they don't know
- Motivated by delivering excellent service
Key Responsibilities:
- Agreement Negotiation: Using either counterparty paper or our clients' agreement templates, the junior negotiator will be required to draft, negotiate, obtain internal approvals and finally execute new arrangements with counterparties.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Build and maintain strong relationships with the legal, business, credit, risk and operations teams at the client, to ensure that all negotiations are agreed and approved by the relevant people.
- Data Management: Ensuring that each negotiation is tracked and updated on our client portal so that the management information is up to date and reconciles against the client's internal systems.
