As an IT Analyst within IT, you will play a key role in keeping the firm secure from cyber threats and assisting in the recovery of the firm's systems and services, in the event of a Disaster Recovery/Business Continuity situation.
Responsibilities
- Monitor and respond to the threats and outputs from the Managed Detect Respond service, working with the suppliers and internal teams to seek resolution.
- Triage and investigate security incidents to identify potential threats and vulnerabilities, escalating where appropriate.
- Conduct daily checks of the firm's security systems to ensure they are working correctly.
- Ensure all active vulnerabilities are logged in the firm's ticketing system and are assigned to the relevant team for remediation.
- Work with internal teams and suppliers to mitigate/remediate vulnerabilities/security threats.
- Assist with the execution of Pen Tests and work with the relevant teams to remediate the output from these tests.
- Assist in the planning and execution of the annual and ad‑hoc Business Continuity/Disaster Recovery exercises.
- Assist with the renewal process of the firm's IT/Cyber-related certifications.
- Assist with keeping team documentation up to date.
- Assist in the creation and maintenance of Cyber and system recovery Runbooks.
- Track and analyse emerging cyber threats, vulnerabilities and attack techniques.
- Assist in researching new products and services.
Key Skills & Experience
- Knowledge of vulnerability management.
- Experience in dealing with cyber incidents.
- Basic knowledge of managing MDR, EDR and email security systems.
- Experience in assisting with Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity exercises.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
- Knowledge and experience of working within industry best practices and guidelines such as ITIL, NIST, ISO, and CIS environments.
- Knowledge of common attack types (phishing, malware, ransomware).
- Familiarity with vulnerability scanning and basic threat intelligence.
- Strong teamwork skills and attention to detail.
- Practising self‑reflection to identify and develop one's own learning needs and experiences.
