Responsibilities
- Conduct AML screening and risk assessments, including conflicts screening after training, at a high quality level ensuring accuracy.
- Provide support, feedback, and quality control for junior staff; supervise and develop junior staff.
- Manage stakeholder needs, queries, and service‑level issues at Partner and fee‑earner level.
- Attend and deliver relevant internal training as business needs demand.
- Escalate team management issues to the Client Onboarding Manager(s).
- Manage a steady volume of complex onboarding matters; provide technical guidance to colleagues; act in a supervisory capacity over Client Onboarding Officers via quality control.
- Operate confidently in a fast‑paced, international environment with complex and nuanced local frameworks.
Qualifications and Education
Undergraduate diplomas in Law or other relevant disciplines are preferred. Candidates with transferable expertise will be considered.
- Relevant Experience
- Proven experience in a comparable commercial services firm or business model akin to a global law firm, in an AML compliance role.
- Strong regulatory knowledge of AML/CFT/ABC with international experience, and sound judgement in screening and risk‑assessing global company structures.
- Experience performing checks using applicable tools and software.
- Preferred Skills
- Prior experience with legal conflict‑of‑interest checks (dual‑skilled candidate). Not strictly required if AML/KYC experience is strong.
- Capability to provide training and guidance in Conflicts of Interests.
