Fieldfisher Condor is the legal solutions division of Fieldfisher LLP, designed to deliver high‑quality, scalable and cost‑effective services that complement and enhance traditional legal advice. We operate across four core verticals: flexible resourcing, document review, legal technology and contract negotiation, each built to support our clients with practical, efficient and expertly delivered solutions. What sets us apart is our unique position: we provide the operational strength and agility of a specialist legal services provider, backed by the breadth, depth and assurance of a leading international law firm. This combination enables us to apply both technical expertise and commercial insight to every matter, giving clients a seamlessly integrated, end‑to‑end service.
We are seeking a commercially driven Business Development and Marketing Manager to accelerate the growth of our Alternative Legal Solutions Platform. This exciting role sits at the intersection of marketing, sales enablement, and partner engagement. You will be responsible for creating compelling marketing and sales collateral, building strong relationships with fee earners across the law firm, and proactively engaging prospects to generate and convert new opportunities. The role requires someone who is equally comfortable crafting a narrative as they are having consultative sales conversations with senior legal professionals.
Key Responsibilities
- Marketing Campaigns & Collateral: Develop clear, engaging marketing and sales collateral, including pitch decks, case studies, brochures, one‑pagers, proposals, and thought leadership content. Translate complex legal service offerings into simple, outcome‑focused value propositions tailored to different audiences (partners, associates, legal ops, in‑house teams). Work closely with internal stakeholders to ensure messaging is consistent, current, and aligned to our broader commercial strategy. Plan and execute specific product-focused campaigns.
- PR & Communications: Develop and execute PR plans to raise Condor's profile. Identify media opportunities and issue press releases on newsworthy developments. Support content development for articles, thought leadership, and award submissions. Assist with social media outreach and content planning.
- Bids, Pitches and Legal Directories: Oversee the end-to-end bids process for all ALS-specific RFPs and pitches. Coordinate with the central Bids team in London for cross-border and major opportunities.
- CRM & Data Management: Identify and research prospective clients and opportunities across target markets. Conduct outbound outreach via email, calls, and events to arrange introductory and follow‑up sales meetings. Support the sales process from initial meeting through to proposal and onboarding, working alongside senior stakeholders where appropriate. Maintain accurate records of activity, pipeline, and progress through CRM or reporting tools.
- Market Insight and Continuous Improvement: Gather feedback from partners, prospects, and clients to inform product positioning and future service development. Monitor competitor offerings and market trends within alternative legal services and legal technology. Continuously refine collateral and approaches based on what resonates most with the market.
Preferred Experience and Qualifications
- Degree educated, ideally in business, marketing, communications, or a related field.
- Proven experience in business development, marketing, or sales enablement, ideally within legal services, professional services, or B2B platforms.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to create persuasive, well‑structured commercial materials.
- Confidence engaging with senior legal professionals, including law firm partners and in‑house stakeholders.
- A proactive, self‑starting mindset with the ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously.
- Proficiency in digital marketing, social media, and CRM tools.
- Collaborative, proactive and able to work effectively in a matrixed, international environment.
- Exceptional organisational skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities.
Join Fieldfisher’s business development and marketing team to make a difference in a firm that values initiative, vision, and team spirit.
