What can you expect?
Fieldfisher is a European law firm with market leading practices in many of the world’s most dynamic sectors. We are an exciting, forward-thinking organisation with a particular focus on technology, finance & financial services, energy & natural resources, life sciences and media. The role will sit within the Firm's Finance Department, which consists of 50 members of staff in the UK. The department looks after all aspects of the Firm's accounts and finances including the LexisOne practice management system, billing, credit control, disbursements, accounts payable, expenses and client and office bank accounts.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate the submission of accrual information.
- Liaising with MPs and FEs to provide and update matter budget information.
- Ensuring Purchase Order data is updated within the firm’s finance system & eBilling intermediaries.
- Carry out regular reviews of the status of invoices to identify rejected ones.
- Assisting with maintaining timekeeper, matter, rates and invoice data held within the various intermediary systems.
- Generating and uploading electronic files for a range of eBilling clients to various intermediary platforms (training provided).
- Management of the eBilling mailbox and associated queries.
- Coordinate the submissions of various ebilling files in standard formats.
- Regular review of rejected ebilling files to resolve issues (working with CC team, Billing team and the Legal team).
Experience and Knowledge
- Computer literate particularly in Excel.
- Good attention to detail.
- Experience of billing/eBilling and generation of file codes.
- Working knowledge of VAT (advantage but not essential).
- Willingness to learn and develop skills.
- Flexible to work extra hours at month end or when overtime is required.
