Overview

IT Security Analyst – responsible for protecting the firm from cyber threats and aiding in recovery during Disaster Recovery / Business Continuity situations. 1‑3 years of experience preferred, but fewer or more years are considered.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor and respond to alerts from the Managed Detect Respond service, coordinating with suppliers and internal teams.
  • Triage and investigate security incidents, escalating appropriately.
  • Conduct daily checks of the firm’s security systems to ensure reliability.
  • Log all active vulnerabilities in the ticketing system and assign them for remediation.
  • Work with internal teams and suppliers to mitigate or remediate vulnerabilities and threats.
  • Assist with the execution of Pen Tests and remediate findings with relevant teams.
  • Plan and execute annual and ad‑hoc Business Continuity / Disaster Recovery exercises.
  • Support the renewal of the firm’s IT / Cyber‑related certifications.
  • Maintain up‑to‑date team documentation and Cyber/system recovery runbooks.
  • Track and analyse emerging cyber threats, vulnerabilities, and attack techniques.
  • Research new products and services relevant to cyber security.
  • Key Skills & Experience
  • Knowledge of vulnerability management.
  • Experience in handling cyber incidents.
  • Basic knowledge of MDR, EDR, and email security systems.
  • Experience in Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity exercises.
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
  • Familiarity with industry best practices and guidelines such as ITIL, NIST, ISO, and CIS.
  • Understanding of common attack types (phishing, malware, ransomware).
  • Experience with vulnerability scanning and threat intelligence.
  • Strong teamwork skills and attention to detail.
  • Self‑reflection to identify and develop learning needs.
