The Project Manager for Business Transformation will lead and coordinate change initiatives across Business Services to support the firm's operational, strategic, and cultural evolution. This role is responsible for planning, managing, and delivering transformational projects that improve efficiency, enhance client service delivery, modernise workflows, and enable the firm's long-term business strategy. The successful candidate will combine strong project management discipline with an understanding of how law firms operate, how Business Services functions interconnect, and how people, processes, and technology collectively drive transformation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Project Planning & Delivery
    • Lead end-to-end delivery of business transformation projects spanning process redesign, technology implementation, operating model improvements, and capability uplift.
    • Develop robust project plans, RAID logs, timelines, and governance materials.
    • Coordinate cross-functional workstreams across HR, IT, Finance, Risk, Legal Support and other Business Services teams.
    • Manage project budgets, milestones, dependencies, and reporting structures.
    • Ensure documentation and artefacts are completed to a high standard (e.g., workflows, business cases, UAT packs).
  • Process & Workflow Improvement
    • Analyse current-state processes and identify opportunities to improve efficiency, automation, and user experience.
    • Work closely with Business Analysts (where assigned) to design future-state processes and support business case development.
    • Ensure project solutions align to firmwide standards, strategic goals, and best-practice legal operations principles.
  • Stakeholder Management & Communication
    • Engage effectively with senior stakeholders across Business Services and practice groups.
    • Facilitate workshops, interviews, focus groups, and playbacks to gather insight and validate decisions.
