The Vacancy
The Team
The IT Training Team work in a collaborative and supportive environment and deliver training across firm wide IT systems. The team design and then deliver training courses and programmes to colleagues using remote solutions and provide in-person assistance where needed as well as creating user guides and videos.
Responsibilities:
- To provide effective and professional induction training to new colleagues across standard and customised applications.
- To deliver upskilling programmes with the aim of raising skill levels across the firm.
- To support the delivery of rollouts for new or updated software or systems.
- Design new courses and programmes to support the firm for assigned projects.
- Where appropriate, participate in regular floor walking or provide at-desk or screen-sharing support to assist colleagues.
- Create and maintain user documentation or videos to support induction courses or upskilling programmes.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of existing technologies in use and learn new systems or improvements to current software as required.
- Actively contribute ideas to initiatives and innovations and to the improvement of documented processes.
- Analyse the quality and effectiveness of training that they deliver to support the evolving requirements of the business.
- Assist the IT Service Desk in resolving queries logged to the training team and undertake any ad-hoc tasks as required.
- Perform administrative tasks such as dealing with requests for support and training, scheduling, dealing with course bookings and requests, updating training attendance records.
Key Skills & Experience:
- Be an experienced legal IT Trainer with at least 3 years' experience or in a similar role.
- Work collaboratively within a team; a willingness to support the objectives for the training team and enhance its reputation within the firm.
- Have excellent relationship building skills with the ability to deal with partners and colleagues effectively.
