Fieldfisher are seeking an experienced Finance Systems Analyst for a challenging role within the Finance Systems Team supporting the financial operations. It will involve collaborating closely with Finance, IT, and Practice Groups to enhance system capabilities, strengthen data governance, and drive process efficiency. The ideal candidate will bring strong technical expertise, a deep understanding of finance systems, and the ability to collaborate with stakeholders at all levels. The Finance Systems Analyst will contribute to strategic system improvements, lead data-driven decision-making, and help maintain the integrity and performance of our financial platforms in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Investigate and resolve end user incidents and problems relating to D365 F&O across GL, Projects, AR & AP
  • Participate in D365 F&O implementations / upgrade or customisations including configuration, data validation, testing and solution design
  • Oversee D365 F&O system performance, maintenance, batch jobs and monitoring
  • Manage security roles, user provisioning, and environment within D365 F&O
  • Design and configure financial processes within D365 F&O
  • Develop, build & manage workflows in D365 F&O
  • Provide subject-matter expertise for functional modules bridging the gap between finance users and technical delivery teams

Experience and Knowledge

  • Legal finance experience or professional services preferred
  • Background in finance with good understanding of financial end to end processes
  • Working knowledge of a leading practice management system (Elite, Aderant) or ERP (SAP, Microsoft Dynamics) preferred
  • Proven experience of D365 F&O & related finance data structures
  • Experience with Power BI Dashboards & report writing preferred
  • Familiar with customising and extending ERP system functionality in collaboration with ISV partners
  • Coordinating Microsoft & ISV service updates
  • Manage and drive the creation of system user manuals, training materials and process documentation
  • Highly motivated with excellent organisational skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Personable, confident & able to develop strong relationships with key stakeholders
  • Adaptable and flexible approach
  • Pro-active & comfortable owning tasks through to completion
