As part of the Gas Power One Field Services team, FieldCore installs, maintains, and upgrades power generation equipment, enabling operators of the world’s energy infrastructure to provide more reliable and affordable energy.
FieldCore is looking for an engaged and driven Pipe Fitter to join our team based in the UK on a project basis.
Let’s Talk about the Role
Pipe fitter operationalizes project pipeline facilities, defines strokes and scales pipes; specific quantifies materials and inspecting; prepares local facilities, performs pre-assembly and installation of pipes. Tests carried operating pressure and fluid tightness tests. Protects plants and performs maintenance on equipment and accessories. You may be assigned other duties to help proactively drive our FieldCore vision and align with our organization’s core values.

How You Will Make a Difference:
- Set drawn pipes;
- Will perform isometrics reading, exchanging pipes, industrial gaskets and threaded controls, flanged and welded;
- Knowledge and practice in maintenance of pumps;
- Perform corrective and preventive maintenance of hydraulic and pneumatic plumbing of machinery and equipment;
- Knowledge and practice of electrical and oxyfuel welding;
- Identify fluid pressure;
- Scale pipes;
- Check validity of materials;
- Conditioning materials on-site;
- Cutting tubes;
- Tapping on the pipes;
- Fit connections;
- Bending pipes;
- Sealing pipes;
- Interconnect networks to extensions (point of use);
- Secure networks distribute and lay pipes;
- Install pressure gauges on the network;
- Test monitor the manometer and the network;
- Test water pressure coming from the concessionaire;
- Replace defective equipment or accessories and out-dated;
- Identify materials, equipment and instruments used in the solution of the faults or defects;
- Activate and deactivate delivery systems;
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Travel extensively (internationally and domestically). Ability and willingness to work holidays, weekends and overtime as required by field assignments.
Special Role Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED;
- Professional courses in the area equivalent to 200hrs;
- Experience of power generation (gas/steam turbines) and associated auxiliary equipment is preferable.
