Support Workers Required for Children’s Home in Kingstanding Birmingham B44. We have an incredible opportunity to join our NEW 3 bed children’s homes located in Kingstanding. We provide care and support for high dependency children who have complex needs, EBD and display challenging behaviour. We try and make every day extraordinary for the children. Currently, our home is about to take our first placement. Our Organisation prides itself on fantastic quality of care. We are looking for staff to go above and beyond to meet our high expectations. We are looking for people who are passionate about looking after children. There will be opportunities for progression.

Support Workers shift patterns and hourly rate:

  • Shifts will be from 10:00 am until 10:30 am the following day, with a sleep from 23:00 - 07:00.
  • Flexible shifts, 40 hours per week.
  • Hourly rate: £12.50 non-qualified with some experience, £13.50 qualified with diploma children and young people level 3 minimum, £50 Sleep In.

Support Worker Requirements:

  • Able to work full time.
  • A full UK driving license.
  • Right to work in the UK (we do not offer sponsorship).
  • An understanding that this role will require undertaking Enhanced DBS checks.
  • You need to be able to work flexibly in caring for the children, including working shifts and sleep-ins.
  • Experience working and supporting 8-18 year olds with EBD & challenging behaviour is a must.
  • NVQ level 3 in children’s and young people's workforce or working towards (important).

  • Support and contribute to the smooth day-to-day running of all aspects in the home including cooking, cleaning and finances.
  • Ensure that the needs of the young people are being met and review and record changes to those needs.
