The predicted salary is between 30000 - 40000 £ per year.

We are looking for a Registered Manager to run a new 3 bed service supporting 8-18s with EBD and challenging behaviour. Please make an application promptly if you are a good match for this role due to high levels of interest. Happy to consider experienced Deputy Managers looking for a step up and new challenge. Full support and training will be given.

Skills and Abilities

  • Ability to demonstrate reasoning, numeracy, literacy and technology skills to required standard.
  • Ability to work as a team, working closely with colleagues and other agencies.
  • Ability to solve problems.
  • Able to work within the principles of the Childrens Act.
  • Demonstrate a sound working knowledge of Child Protection Issues and Procedures.
  • Sound knowledge of Childrens Homes procedures and relevant issues.
  • Ability to exercise authority.
  • Proven leadership and management abilities.
  • Excellent communication skills both verbally and written.

Knowledge and Experience

  • At least 1 year working experience as a Registered Manager or Deputy Manager in a Registered Childrens Home where the rating of their home is good to outstanding.
  • A minimum of two years experience at senior level in a Childrens Home.
  • Experience working with Children who have Mental Health, Emotional & Behavioural difficulties.
  • Have a very good understanding of the childrens homes regulations and quality standards, 2015.
  • Have good knowledge and experience working as a designated safeguarding lead in childrens residential home(s).

Qualifications

  • The Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or equivalent) and Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care and Children and Young Peoples Services (or you are willing to work towards this).
  • Or NVQ Level 4 Health and Social Care (Childrens Pathway) combined with a Leadership and Management Qualification.
