We are looking for a Registered Childrens Home Manager for a new 5 Bed home in Colchester supporting 8-18s with EBD SEMH and challenging behaviour. (Max 3 Children) There will be tremendous opportunities to grow, and progression will be encouraged. You will be confident and work with the Responsible Individual and owners. If you have experience supporting vulnerable children, you are qualified and looking for career progression, this exciting new opportunity could be for you.

Skills and Abilities

  • Ability to demonstrate reasoning, numeracy, literacy and technology skills to required standard.
  • Ability to work as a team, working closely with colleagues and other agencies.
  • Ability to solve problems.
  • Able to work within the principles of the Childrens Act.
  • Demonstrate a sound working knowledge of Child Protection Issues and Procedures.
  • Sound knowledge of Childrens Homes procedures and relevant issues.
  • Ability to exercise authority.
  • Proven leadership and management abilities.
  • Can evidence Ofsted inspections (URN).
  • Excellent communication skills both verbally and written.

Knowledge and Experience

  • At least 1 year working experience as a Registered Manager in a Registered Childrens Home.
