Are you passionate about shaping high-quality education for learners with complex needs? We’re looking for an experienced and visionary leader to join our team as Senior Education Lead, driving excellence and compliance across our specialist college.
In this pivotal role, you’ll lead on quality assurance, curriculum development, and regulatory compliance, including Ofsted standards. You’ll work closely with a dedicated team of Teachers, Learning Support Workers, and governance professionals to ensure outstanding provision for students with complex health conditions, learning disabilities, and SEMH diagnoses, including autism.
Our College is a very special place. We provide highly personalised pathways for special school leavers, and we support them in the journey to become adults, and to live independent and fulfilling lives as far as possible. Each student spends 2-3 years following an intensive multi-disciplinary team study programme that supports them as school leavers into busy, productive and fulfilling lives as adults.
About The Role Of Head of Learning (Senior Education Lead)
- Hours: 40 hours per week, Term Time Only
- Salary: £42,884.62 - £47,173.08 Pro Rata (£50,000 - £55,000 FTE)
What you’ll do as Head of Learning (Senior Education Lead)
- Champion the Quality Improvement Plan and lead on Autism Accreditation.
- Oversee teaching and learning standards through observations and data-driven insights.
- Drive staff development, performance management, and mentoring initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and safeguarding standards.
- Collaborate with therapy teams to create a strong, therapeutic education environment.
- Promote a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, and person-centred care.
What we’re looking for from our Head of Learning (Senior Education Lead)
- Proven leadership experience in SEND education.
- Strong knowledge of Ofsted inspection criteria and quality assurance processes.
- Experience in curriculum development for specialist education.
- A recognised FE teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE).
