We are looking for a Registered Children's Home Manager for a new 3 Bed home supporting 8-18s with EBD. This will be the flagship home of this new organisation. This will be the chance to be involved and grow with an organisation that wants to make a difference, where the emphasis will be on high quality of care. There will be tremendous opportunities to grow.

Skills and abilities

  • Ability to demonstrate reasoning, numeracy, literacy and technology skills to required standard.
  • Ability to work as a team, working closely with colleagues and other agencies.
  • Ability to solve problems.
  • Able to work within the principles of the Children's Act.
  • Demonstrate a sound working knowledge of Child Protection Issues and Procedures.
  • Sound knowledge of Children's Homes procedures and relevant issues.
  • Ability to exercise authority.
  • Proven leadership and management abilities.
  • Excellent communication skills both verbally and written.

Knowledge and experience

  • At least 1 year working experience as a Registered Manager in a Registered Children's Home where the rating of their home is good to outstanding.
  • A minimum of two years experience at senior support level in a Children's Home.
  • Experience working with children who have Mental Health, Emotional & Behavioural difficulties.
  • Have a very good understanding of the Children's Homes regulations and quality standards, 2015.
  • Have good knowledge and experience working as a designated safeguarding lead in children's residential home(s).

Qualifications

  • The Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or equivalent) and Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care and Children and Young People's Services (or you are willing to work towards this).
  • Or NVQ Level 4 Health and Social Care (Children's Pathway) combined with a Leadership and Management Qualification.

What Can We Offer

  • Full Time Role
  • £55,000 - £60,000 dependant on Experience and Qualifications
  • 1-2 years experience: £50k rising to £55k after probation + £10k bonus negotiable
  • 2+ years experience: £60k + bonus negotiable
  • Company Bonus Scheme & Incentives

  • Person Centred Development Plan including Therapeutic Training Qualifications.
