We have an established Organisation looking to set up a home in Crumpsall, Manchester, supporting up to 3 8- to 18-year-olds with EBD, SEMH and challenging behaviour. The group is passionate about children's care and is looking to build a therapeutic and safe environment for the children and young people. There will be full support given by the Directors and RI.
We are looking for a dynamic leader – someone who is tenacious and passionate, with the ability to connect with those they meet and build meaningful and productive working relationships. Salary and Benefits- Competitive annual salary up to ÂŁ65k dependent on experience.

- Ability to demonstrate reasoning, numeracy, literacy and technology skills to required standard.
- Ability to work as a team, working closely with colleagues and other agencies.
- Ability to solve problems.
- Able to work within the principles of the Children’s Act.
- Demonstrate a sound working knowledge of Child Protection Issues and Procedures.
- Sound knowledge of Children’s Homes procedures and relevant issues.
- Ability to exercise authority.
- Proven leadership and management abilities.
- Excellent communication skills - both verbally and written.
- At least 18 months working experience as a Registered Manager or Deputy Manager in a Registered Children’s Home where the rating of their home is good to outstanding.
- A minimum of two years’ experience at senior level in a Children’s Home.
- Experience working with children who have Mental Health, Emotional & Behavioural difficulties.
- Have a very good understanding of the children’s homes regulations and quality standards, 2015.
- Has a strong track record of achieving “Good” or “Outstanding” outcomes with Ofsted.
- Demonstrates strong leadership, compliance, and safeguarding knowledge.
- Can evidence Ofsted Inspections and Reg 44/45.
- The Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or equivalent) and Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care and Children and Young Peoples Services or NVQ Level 4 Health and Social Care (Children’s Pathway) combined with a Leadership and Management Qualification.
