Registered Manager required for a Children’s Home in Barking London IG11. £55k to £70k plus KPI bonus depending on experience and qualifications. We are looking for a Children’s Home Manager to join our 3 bed service in Barking supporting 8-18 year olds with EBD. Supporting 2 Children. We have recently received Ofsted Good rating. Our current RM is going to head a new home we are opening.
You will have been a Registered Manager for at least one year, have high standards and worked within a home either Good or Outstanding. Our home is waiting for you to register and open. This Organisation will offer full support from Directors and our Responsible Individual.
Registered Manager Skills and abilities:- Ability to demonstrate reasoning, numeracy, literacy and technology skills to required standard.
- Ability to work as a team, working closely with colleagues and other agencies.
- Ability to solve problems.
- Able to work within the principles of the Children’s Act.
- Demonstrate a sound working knowledge of Child Protection Issues and Procedures.
- Sound knowledge of Children’s Homes procedures and relevant issues.
- Ability to exercise authority.
- Proven leadership and management abilities.
- Excellent communication skills - both verbally and written.
- At least 1 year working experience as a Registered Manager in a Registered Children’s Home where the rating of their home is good to outstanding.
- A minimum of two years’ experience at senior support level in a Children’s Home.
- Experience working with Children who have Mental Health, Emotional & Behavioural difficulties.
- Have a very good understanding of the children’s homes regulations and quality standards, 2015.
- Have good knowledge and experience working as a designated safeguarding lead in children’s residential home(s).
- The Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or equivalent) and Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care and Children and Young Peoples Services (or you are willing to work towards this).
- Or NVQ Level 4 Health and Social Care (Children’s Pathway) combined with a Leadership and Management Qualification.
