Help us deliver exceptional learning experiences by joining our team as a Hospitality & Catering Assistant this summer. Established in 1943, our network of Learning Locations provides day and residential outdoor education courses for all ages. We aim to create outstanding opportunities for everyone to learn about nature. Responsibilities
- Keeping our visitor spaces clean, tidy, and ready for guests.
- Cleaning bedrooms, bathrooms, and communal areas.
- Preparing rooms for guests, including making beds, providing towels, and restocking tea/coffee facilities.
- Ensuring public areas such as corridors and classrooms are neat, tidy, and well-presented.
- Setting up the dining room for meals.
- Assisting in the kitchen with food preparation and service.
- Keeping the dining, kitchen, and tea/coffee areas clean and stocked.

Location
Nestled in 20 hectares of south Cumbria countryside between Morecambe Bay and the Lake District, Castle Head is the perfect place to enjoy a breath of fresh air on your breaks. Surrounded by woodland, grassland, and riverside habitats, the centre accommodates up to 162 visitors and features lounges, a games room, campfire areas, classrooms, and a science lab—making it an inspiring place to work where nature and adventure are part of every day.
Benefits
- Fixed term position due to start 27 April 2026 - 19 July 2026.
- Full time average 37.5 hours per week - weekly hours will vary, with more during busy periods and fewer in quieter weeks.
- Effective 1 April 2026 the full-time equivalent salary will be circa £25,281 per annum. This will equate to an hourly rate of £12.96.
- Excellent benefits - including life assurance and health & wellbeing support.
