  • This is a permanent seasonal contract working anaverage 20 hours per week between February to November each year

  • You'll enjoy having the flexibility to follow other interests and pursuits over the winter months secure in the knowledge that you have a job to come back to

  • Actual salary is circa £9,838 per season* (The full-time equivalent salary is circa £22,308 per annum.) This equates to circa £11.44 per hour.

  • *Effective 1 April 2025 the actual salary will increase to circa £10,500 per season, which equates to circa £12.21 per hour.

What youll be doing

As one of our Hospitality & Catering Assistants your duties will be varied, our education centre is always busy, so we need team members that are happy to help wherever required.

You will be helping our housekeeping operations, with tasks such as cleaning and laundry. In addition to assisting our catering team with setting up the dining room for breakfast, lunch, and dinner service.

Other duties can include working in the kitchen assisting with food preparation and serving food to our visitors.

Where youll be based

Just 30 minutes from Taunton, Field Studies Council Nettlecombe Court is situated in a secluded valley at the eastern edge of Exmoor National Park. The house is a striking example of a Tudor and Georgian country mansion set within its own grounds.

The centre can accommodate approximately 120 people. This is spread across two single bedrooms, three twin rooms and 18 dormitory rooms which vary in size from 4-12 beds.
